Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors generally and of the Greek and Russian navies in particular. He is also the patron saint of the Anglican Military Ordinariate of the Canadian Armed Forcers, as well as the origin for Santa Claus. His feast day is celebrated on 6 December. The RCN does not appear to have their own patron saint so Saint Nicholas will have to do.
