Located in downtown St. John’s, the Crow’s Nest is not a local club but an iconic one for all Canadian sailors. Founded on January 27, 1942 as a Seagoing Officers Club by Captain Rollo Mainguy, Captain “D” of St. John’s, it has become “the” place for Canadian naval officers to congregate. The wardrooms of ships visiting St. John’s make a point to visit, to share a drink, to dine, and to celebrate promotions.
